Q: What is the latest on this year's Daytime Emmy Awards? — Rita, Des Moines, Iowa

A: The pre-nomination process was a little different this year. Actors were allowed to submit four-minute clips from two different episodes, which enabled them to showcase their ranges.

The Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 1. The location of there ceremonies has not yet been announced.

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has decided to continue capping the number of nominees for each of its lead and supporting categories at 10. They are as follows:
