Do you ever have times when you're just stuck in a rut? Maybe you got some bad news or your barista made your vanilla latte with decaf and that's the only thing on your mind for the rest of the day. If you're like me, you tend to worry about things you don't have any control over; it's crazy how just one little thing can really put a damper on your mood. Sometimes you don't even know why, but you just feel as if you're having an off moment, an off day or even an off week. It happens to all of us, but here are a few tricks to help you get out of your rut:
—Sleep it off. If you are having a bad day and can't seem to shake it, sometimes the best thing to do is take a nap — or call it a day and go to bed early. Relaxation is the perfect remedy for a bad day. A little extra snuggling time with Evan in the morning is always guaranteed to start my day off with a smile.
—Laughter really is the best medicine. Watch a funny movie, or ask a friend to help cheer you up. Once you start laughing, your body will produce serotonin, and you'll instantly feel better.
—Just dance. Whether you grab a friend or you're alone in your underwear rocking out into your hairbrush, a little music and dancing will cure any funk. Go all out and be goofy and obnoxious; it will get your mind off whatever was bothering you. How else do you think I perfected my robot moves?
These are all easy ways to help you forget about whatever has brought you down. What other ways do you have to shake off a bad day?
