DEAR STACY: When will the "Fantastic Beasts" sequel come out? — Jack & Shirley in Minneapolis

DEAR JACK & SHIRLEY: Expect it Nov. 16, 2018. J.K. Rowling scripted the currently shooting film. It's being planned as the second of a five-part franchise. The spinoff centers on young Dumbledore, played by Jude Law, recruiting his former student Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to stop Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) from his evil doings. It's set in 1920s Paris. Zoe Kravitz is playing Leta Lestrange, a woman from Newt's past. Nope, we don't know yet what her relationship to Bellatrix Lestrange (Helena Bonham Carter) from the Harry Potter world might be.

DEAR STACY: Is Garrett Morris of "Saturday Night Live" fame still working? What is he up to? — Elaine M., Canton, Ohio

DEAR ELAINE: The Broadway and TV veteran, whose long list of credits also includes his stints on "2 Broke Girls,""Martin" and "The Jamie Foxx Show," keeps busy at age 80. He's the owner-operator-host of Garret Morris' Downtown Comedy Club in Los Angeles, and he still pops up on TV occasionally, such as an appearance on "Celebrity Family Feud" last year.

DEAR STACY: What is the status of "Goonies 2"? — Kay H., Redlands, California

DEAR KAY: Sorry, but chances are slim that a follow-up to the 1985 favorite will ever happen, despite stories through the years of director Richard Donner chatting about a movie and/or Broadway musical being in the works. Star Josh Brolin told Extra TV that although Steven Spielberg has a sequel script, there are no plans to make it. Corey Feldman and Martha Plimpton have scotched reports as well, calling the sequel unlikely.

DEAR STACY: Can you tell whatever happened to diet guru Susan Powter? — MaryC123

DEAR MARYC123: The Australia-born health and fitness advocate and self-described "radical feminist lesbian woman" took a decade away from the limelight to raise her third son, according to her website. Since then, she's dispensed advice, blogged and put out an e-zine, but simply hasn't recaptured the audience she had back in the '90s.
