DEAR STACY: Whatever became of Uggie, that amazing dog from "The Artist"? Any new movies? — Just Curious, Cedar Rapids, Iowa
DEAR CURIOUS: No new movies, since Uggie retired from the motion picture scene at age 10 in 2012. His trainer, Omar Von Muller, told Hollywood Reporter writer Elizabeth Snead at the time that "We don't force our dogs to do this ... it always has to be fun for them. Uggie's still enjoying it, but he's getting up there and he's slowing down a little." Von Muller also said that the famous Jack Russell pup loves lying in the sun by the swimming pool. Sounds like a retirement fit for a movie star, eh?
DEAR STACY: What is Adam Lamberg doing? I had such a crush on him as Gordo on "Lizzie McGuire." Haven't seen him act in anything in ages. — Sasha T., West Haven, Connecticut
DEAR SASHA: That's because Lamberg hasn't worked an actor in years. ("The world doesn't need another celebrity," he tweeted recently). A 2008 graduate of UC Berkeley, he remains involved in the creative community as a development associate at New York's Irish Arts Center.
DEAR STACY: I was wondering if the actor Campbell Scott, who plays the father of Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," is related to the late George C. Scott? — Larry W., New Port Richey, Florida
DEAR LARRY: Yes. Actor-producer-director Campbell Scott is the son of George C. Scott and the late Colleen Dewhurst. His many credits range from "Longtime Companion" — the groundbreaking 1990 film set in the early years of the HIV/AIDS crisis — to his ongoing recurring role on "Royal Pains" as the German nobleman-with-guest-house, Boris.
DEAR STACY: A friend at work says that Denis Leary and Conan O'Brien are cousins. Is that true? — Natalie K., Torrance, California
DEAR NATALIE: They have often been said to be distant cousins, but O'Brien sounded dubious when asked about that during a CNN interview. "Leary claims we're related," he said. "We're related the way any Irish people from Massachusetts are related."
