LYNDA HIRSCH ON TELEVISION -- GOSSIP

The best soap opera on the air? The story of the revolving newscasters. Chris Cuomo has fallen from grace. You cannot ask for dirt on the woman who claims your brother, Gov. Andrew Cuomo, was overly touchy- feely. Their pop, Mario Cuomo, must be spinning in his grave. That one hurt. I loved his banter with Don Lemon during the crossover. Also, his "let's get after it" takes. Next up, Brian Williams exiting NBC after more than 25 years. Yeah, he made the mistake of claiming he did things that he didn't. Lester Holt took over the coveted 6:30 p.m. news slot. As for Williams, NBC's head gave him another chance and is giving him a late-night talk show. His wry wit and straightforward reporting was a joy to watch. Jeff Zucker is now head honcho at CNN. Hopefully, Williams will go there.

Chris Wallace stunned viewers and co-workers when he said Dec. 12 that he was leaving Fox. Wallace did not tow the network's mantra. He took shots at everyone he felt needed a glass of water tossed in their face. Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity and former President Donald Trump often were given Wallace's back hand. He told everyone that Fox never nixed any of his show ideas. He did not say where he was headed. Instead of turning it into a cliffhanger that went on too long ("The Young and the Restless," take note), a day after Wallace said an earnest goodbye, CNN announced he will join the CNN+ streaming service, which is slated to debut next year.

Ingo, Ingo, Ingo. You have made a slew of bad decisions. Naming your first child "Peanut?" Just how teased is this kid going to be? You decided not to get a COVID vaccine. I know it's your choice. But then you posted a transphobic post. Then you made it worse by saying you found your transgender co-star, Cassandra James, pretty, and suggested you can't be transphobic because you let your 3-year-old son dress as a fairy princess years ago. My mom once dressed me as Casper the friendly ghost. I guess it means she believed in Satan because she dressed me as a devil once.

Ingo, your latest action takes the devil's cake for stupidity. You are suing ABC for firing you because you would not take the shot. You said it was not constitutional. Well, last week, the Supreme Court ruled New York could fire workers if they did not take the shot. Actresses have been fired for changing their hair color. Hell, after 25 years at a station, a new general manager let me go because he did not like the color of my blouse. It was puce, so I see why he axed me.

When I worked at ABC, it was called "Always Buy Cheap." You do not stand a chance. The network has very high-powered attorneys. Your firm, Dewey, Cheatem & Howe, will not have it easy.
