This week everything is "Star Wars." Business websites are crowing about how much the movie has reaped thus far (as of this minute, over $20 million — oops, now it's at $25 million. Since every second a new figure is reported I will wait until the end of the column to give the last official figure). Even political pundits, such as Chris Matthews and Anderson Cooper, dedicated airtime to talking about the film.

"The Big Bang Theory" couple Sheldon and Amy finally made love, while the rest of the crew was watching "Star Wars."

The news featured stories about "Star Wars" fans with tickets waiting in line for 18 hours. (I must admit, as a teen I waited 23 hours to snag a ticket to a Beatles concert. I got the ticket and it was the thrill of my young life.)

Before Mark Hamill was the heroic Luke Skywalker he was Jesse's adopted son, Kent Murray, on "General Hospital." With a writing change the character really went out with a whimper. Then came "Star Wars." I'm not going to tell you the big secret in this latest film but, yes, Luke is back. No spoiler alert needed here. I will not say if he is good, bad or middle of the road.

J.J. Abrams, who directed the film, had his breakthrough success as writer and producer of the cult hit series "Lost." His movies include "Regarding Henry," which starred Harrison Ford. Ford, of course, is back playing Han Solo in the last "Star Wars."

Years ago, when I was a film critic, I interviewed Ford. No, he does not like the junket routine. He was always nice and was pleased when a question is not one he has heard a thousand times in the last three hours. Also, he does not have a star persona. During the interview he wanted a muffin. He looked at the hotel menu: It cost $17. His eyes practically spun around in his head. The studio was paying for it, but he refused to order one at that price. He asked his then-wife to go to the corner store and buy one for $5. He paid for it on his own.

All right: As of 5:01 p.m. Friday, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" has made $57 million. Just think of the popcorn and candy (the way movie theaters really make money) they will sell. Of course, if you're Harrison Ford you'll head for the nearest dollar store, buy a box of Milk Duds and sneak it into the theater.
