Here is a social media tip: Do not tweet, text, Instagram or post on Facebook anything that might be offensive. It never goes away. Everything the Cloud saves can rain on your career parade. Just ask Hartley Sawyer. His years ago posts made it to Deadline Hollywood. They shared his previously released unsavory (racist and misogynistic) posts. I will not repeat them. Somehow, some way, it could be attributed to me. You can check them out on Hollywood Reporter. Sawyer, who spent a year playing Jack's son, Kyle, on "The Young and the Restless," went on to star in "The Flash." He also lost his job in a flash. Despite mea culpas — "I was wrong" — the show's actors and showrunners were dismayed, angered and not in the mood to forgive or forget. In the words of "The People's Court's" Judge Milian: "Say it, forget it. Write it, regret it."
First, he says he will. Then, he says he won't. The who is Gavin Newsom, the governor of California. He will or won't open up the state after the coronavirus invasion. He announced that on June 12 California would be open. Does that mean our favorite soaps are back in business? Two "General Hospital" stars, William DeVry (Julian) and Tristan Rogers (Scorpio) say not so fast. Both actors have as yet been told to report to work. Both are waiting and willing to get back to the studio. During lockdown, all the soap scribes have been working on new product. However, even if the shows geared up tomorrow, it will take a month to get to air.
