It is deja vu all over again. The phrase was made famous by baseball great Yogi Berra, It may be an old adage, but it applies to what is happening today and what happened over 20 years ago when the OJ Simpson trial took over TV. The famous actor/athlete was on trial for murdering his estranged wife and a young man at the wrong place at the wrong time. The trial made household names and ministars of Judge Ito, District Attorney Marcia Clarke, best pal Robert Kardashian (yep papa to those Kardashian) and famed freeloader Kato Kaelin. The trial lasted 11 months. The verdict was reached in four hours — not guilty. Michael Logan, TV Guide's fabled entertainment reporter, and I gabbed about the trial and watched together — he on the West Coast and I on the East Coast. You could hear our jaws dropping in unison with the verdict. I walked around in a daze for weeks.

Now, the same things are happening different players. This time, it is former President Donald Trump. It has taken over much of daytime TV. "Days of Our Lives" cuts away from the trial and then cuts away to the trial. Just as with the OJ trial, I am riveted to the impeachment trial. It has a cast of interesting characters; Jamie Raskin speaking on behalf of impeachment gave a speech for the ages. If you have not seen it, find it. If you have seen it, watch it again. It will move you to tears. Then Trump's lawyer's took over. The duo were the Three Stooges — minus Larry. Ill-fitting suits, odd mannerisms and strange hair. Sadly, just like OJ, Trump will get off.

Linda Dano's run as "Days of Our Lives'" Vivian is about to end. Dano is only set for a two-week stay.vOn instagram,vDano said she loved her new hairdo. She also revealed she was nervous. Even though she worked on "All My Children," "As the World Turns and" "Guiding Light," she was shaking in her boots. Once on set, she felt as if she had never been away from the medium.

"General Hospital's" Maurice Benard (Sonny) and "Days of Our Lives'" head writer Ron Carlivati are having a war of the words. Actually, a war of the posts. When "GH" and "Days" were nominated for Writers Guild Awards, Benard posted congratulations to both shows. Carlavati responded with an eye-role emoji. Carlavati has suggested Bernard had him fired from "GH." Not true, responded Benard. "I do not have the power to fire anyone. If I did several people would be gone."
