Transsexualism: A Legal, Cultural Pandora's Box

I don't believe most Americans have any idea what kind of a legal and cultural Pandora's box has been opened by the transsexual activists — and I include Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton among them.

I've talked to lifelong Democrats about this — people who voted twice for Obama as president — and not one supports the idea of encouraging men who feel like a woman using women's restrooms. Neither have I found any that think it's a good idea to allow boys who say they identify more with the female sex to use girls' restrooms and locker rooms in public schools.

I don't suggest there are none. I only point this out because most people, including Democrat voters, think it's insane.

Of course, if I'm right, this fact represents a huge opportunity for Republicans running for national office this year — including Donald Trump.

I notice there has not been much polling done on this subject by news organizations — probably because most news organizations see no problem with such madness.

But here's what I have found to support my own anecdotal experience:

—Two years ago, a CBS poll found Republicans and Democrats alike disagree with allowing so-called "transsexuals" from determining which public restrooms to use. Overall, 59 percent of Americans didn't like the idea, while only 26 percent did. Among Republicans, 71 percent disapprove of such policies, while among Democrats 55 percent disapprove.

—Last month, a Reuters poll showed support for the kinds of policy changes demanded by Obama and Hillary dropping from 46 percent on April 19 to 38 percent a week later.

—A Marist poll released last week showed 60 percent of Americans opposed transsexual bathrooms.

—A CBS-New York Times poll released over the weekend showed 57 percent of all those surveyed believed it was a matter for local and state governments to decide, while 35 percent said it should be a federal matter.

I noticed that the polls I looked at phrased the questions in ways designed to elicit support for the transsexual cause. For instance, here's the "question" posed by the CBS-New York Times poll: "Transgender people should use the bathroom of the gender (1) they were born as (2) they identify as."

That question doesn't define "transsexual." Is it someone who has had surgery to change his/her genitalia? Most so-called "transsexuals" have not. Some never do. These politically loaded pollsters know this and are actually conducting political "push" polls through their carefully deceptive wording.

That is not an accident.

This is hardly a movement that initiated in the grass-roots. This is a top-down movement — and voters are being bullied and deceived to get behind it.

Safety is never raised as an issue in the polls. Neither was it even addressed by Obama in his sweeping and constitutionally perverted executive order.

Do Americans really want those born as men — and probably still possessing men's genitalia — trolling women's restrooms? The day most Americans want that is the day I start looking for another country. The alternative is living in a nation where the majority has lost its ability to reason, to discern right from wrong, to be able to tell the difference between men and women.

It's a joke, folks — and Republican politicians should take advantage of this issue in 2016. Obama has laid down the gauntlet and it will be Clinton's cross to bear in this election.

If we can no longer tell the difference between males and females, I had a thought as I walked through the woods over the weekend and saw dozens of deer.

What happens when a hunter plugs a buck this deer season and only has a tag for a doe? Can the hunter claim the buck actually "identified" as a doe? Suppose the hunter just gives the buck a post-mortem sex-change operation?

What's the game warden to do? Would the hunter be eligible for a pardon from Obama? Would this matter make it to the Supreme Court? And if people have the right to determine their own sexual identity, why not animals?

Strange days are truly upon us.
