DEAR STACY: I enjoy watching Mel B. and hearing her accent on "America's Got Talent." Can you tell me what her relationship is like with baby daddy Eddie Murphy these days? — Jordan M., Atlanta, Georgia

DEAR JORDAN: Though Mel B. is raising their 7-year-old daughter, Angel Iris, Eddie Murphy reportedly does see her from time to time. Beyond that, the one-time couple, who had a contentious period related to Eddie's questioning of his paternity back when Angel was born, keep mum about their interactions. (You may recall that after DNA testing was performed, Murphy admitted paternity and agreed to pay Mel $7 million-plus.) Mel also has a daughter, Phoenix, 15, from her first marriage (to Dutch dancer Jimmy Gulzar), and a 2-year-old daughter with current husband (since 2007), Stephen Belafonte. She is a stepmother to Belafonte's daughter, Giselle

DEAR STACY: My brother-in-law says that Ellen DeGeneres used to be a professional golfer before going into comedy. I don't think that's right. Can you settle this trivial dispute between myself and a family member? — Lois A., Phoenix, Arizona

DEAR LOIS: You are correct. Although she had enough talent that she considered a career in golf, she never turned pro. Viewers got a hint of her capability back in 2006, when she fired chip shots with Tiger Woods on her show. You can still see the clip on YouTube.

DEAR STACY: Whatever happened to Gary Collins? — Jan B., Warren, Ohio

DEAR JAN: The film and TV actor and talk show host died in October of 2012 of natural causes. Once a frequently-seen face on TV — including his series "The Sixth Sense" and dozens of guest roles — Collins went through some difficult years prior to his death. He battled alcoholism, had DUI convictions and other brushes with the law. He had been estranged from second wife Mary Ann Mobley, but they reconciled in 2012 as he went to Biloxi to be with her when she battled breast cancer.

DEAR STACY: I am trying to remember a movie about a woman who finds she has the ability to heal people after she nearly dies in a car crash. It's from around 30 years ago. I thought it starred Louise Fletcher, but I didn't find it when I looked up her credits. — J.O., Clinton, Iowa

DEAR J.O.: Sounds like you're thinking of the 1980 film, "Resurrection," which starred Ellen Burstyn and Sam Shepard.
