DEAR STACY: Now that Sandra Oh is off "Grey's Anatomy," what will she do next? — Red P., Mission Viejo, California

DEAR RED: Come July 2, fans can see the talented actress playing the partner of Kathy Bates in the big screen comedy "Tammy," which stars Melissa McCarthy as a gal who sets out on a road trip with her lush of a grandmother, played by Susan Sarandon. Oh and Bates come into the picture when Bates' character invites the two to a 4th of July barbeque with "150 awesome lesbians," as Entertainment Weekly reported it. After that, well, Oh has indicated that after her decade of acting in the pointedly colorblind "Grey's Anatomy" she would like to play an Asian character who's more defined by race.

DEAR STACY: What, if any, is the relation between Robert Gossett on "Major Crimes" and Louis Gossett Jr.? I believe there is a resemblance. — Greg K., Cedar Rapids, Iowa

DEAR O.M.: They're cousins.

DEAR STACY: Whatever became of the boy who played Billy, the friend of Tom Hanks' character, in "Big"? — Mary W., Warren, Ohio

DEAR MARY: Jared Rushton grew up, of course. Prolific as a juvenile actor ("Honey, I Shrunk the Kids," "Overboard," etc.), he's now 40 and plays guitar and does vocals in an alternative rock band called Deal by Dusk. He kept active as an actor through the 1990s, logging lots of episodic TV guestings on shows from "ER" to "Cracker."

DEAR STACY: Is it true that Robert Hegyes, who played Epstein on "Welcome Back, Kotter," died? I hadn't heard. He wasn't that old. What happened to him? — Linda B., Chattanooga, Tennessee

DEAR LINDA: Hegyes died of a heart attack Jan. 26, 2012. He was 60.
