Answers

1. A group of dolphins, porpoises or whales is called a "pod" or sometimes a "herd."

2. The shipworm causes damage by boring into wooden ship hulls and dock pilings.

3. Male fiddler crabs have one very large and one small claw. The female has two small claws.

4. Since they are not true crabs, hermit crabs have no shell of their own. They change shells as they grow.

5. The coloration of the sea otter's skeleton is most likely a result of its diet of sea urchins, which have a purple hue to their shells.
