Timothy Spangler
Timothy Spangler is a writer and commentator who divides his time between Southern California and the United Kingdom. He is the host of the weekly radio talk show "The Bigger Picture with Timothy Spangler," which is broadcast live on KRLA AM 870 in Los Angeles every Sunday from 10 p.m. to midnight Pacific time. Timothy has appeared on CNN, CNBC, BBC and Sky News and has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, the Financial Times and The Economist.
He also writes the award-winning blog “Law of the Market,” dedicated to covering the politics of Wall Street regulation and the regulation of Wall Street politics. His two decades working on Wall Street and in London have given him unlimited access to witness and examine the manner in which financial markets and the men and women who drive them operate. His forthcoming book, “One Step Ahead: Hedge Funds and Private Equity Funds after the Global Financial Crisis,” will be published in October 2013.
Timothy is currently an adjunct professor of law at UCLA School of Law and a visiting lecturer at University College London Faculty of Laws. His books on the law of financial regulation are published by Oxford University Press.
